If we didn't remember winter in spring, it wouldn't be as lovely; if we didn't think of spring in winter, or search winter to find some new emotion of its own to make up for the absent ones, half of the keyboard of life would be missing.
Heath’s seasonal collections are a special opportunity, not only for our customers and collectors, but equally for our designers, who delight in the chance to experiment with new techniques and colors. Each collection tells a story that reflects this time of year and this moment in time.
The 2021 Winter Seasonal collection is inspired by the solstice. The palette features four new glaze colors that span the range of colors and light that appear across the darkest night of the year: the pale violet of Dusk, the bright Cranberry of evening holiday celebrations, the deepest purple of Nightfall, and the soft blue of Dawn.

One of the highlights of developing each season is the chance to collaborate with many creative partners, whose diversity of materials and products enhance the story of the season. This winter we have fiber art from Carolina Jimenez, glassware from Cedric Mitchell and R+D.LAB, jewelry from Julia Turner, textile and home goods from Cathy Callahan, and many more. Together, the pieces build out a tabletop and decorate a home to warm the company you keep, whether it be a big blended family or a single sleepy cat.
"I wanted the collection to capture the soft, solemn feeling of the longest night in winter—its beauty more than its menace."
For some, the solstice is a time of retreat; for others, it’s an occasion to gather, marking the dark hours that contain a seed of promise that light will return. Join us in exploring the solitudes and celebrations of winter and the hopefulness of a new year’s arrival.
