At our building in the Mission, we’re opening the doors to a new space, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you in. A spacious, light-filled studio in the Boiler Room for our small team of ceramicists, where we can continue to do what we’ve done for 75 years: approach our materials with curiosity, take creative risks, and follow our inspiration to new artistic horizons.

Starting this month, Heath Clay Studio will be open to the public, and we couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion than together with our community.

Come celebrate this beautiful space at our Open Studio party and meet the venerable Clay Studio team, Director Tung Chiang, and Heath’s master potters, Jay, Jeffrey, and Nora. Learn more about the making and exploration at HCS, and the creative process that goes into the Studio.

Special pieces will be available for purchase, including custom and experimental bud vases. There will also be a raffle for attendees, where one lucky winner will go home with a Heath pendant.

Light snacks and refreshments will be available.
